On September 13, Centre du Camion Gamache had the immense honor of participating, for the fourth consecutive year, in the Balade de Rêve, organized by the Le Renfort Foundation. This unifying, humane, and deeply moving event was already in its 16th year.
The Centre du Camion Gamache is proud of its involvement. Thanks to our motivated team, four of our vehicles were able to bring joy to the participants. Our drivers, who generously gave their time, were Daniel Lamanque (representative), Michel Gamache (yard man), Roger Van Velzen (driver), and Patrick Lizée (IT technician).
A unique experience that benefits people living with ID or ASD
Every year, the team returns with their hearts filled with this unique experience. The drivers are unanimous:
- “Seeing the stars in the eyes of participants living with intellectual disabilities (ID) or autism spectrum disorders (ASD) who ride in our vehicles is a moment of pure joy.” Roger Van Velzen
- “I got chills seeing their wonder as they sat next to me.” Michel Gamache
- “These moments of intense emotion, laughter, and pride remind us why we participate year after year.” Patrick Lizée
- “What makes the event even more extraordinary is that the Le Renfort Foundation exceeded its goal this year! $171,510 was raised. What an achievement!” Daniel Lamanque
- “We leave this day with our hearts full and are already looking forward to coming back next year.” Mélanie Beaulieu
This great success is a testament to the generosity of our community and the incredible dedication of the organizers, volunteers, and donors.
Congratulations to the Le Renfort Foundation for its warm welcome, impeccable organization, and above all, for the heart it puts into fulfilling its mission: to improve the quality of life of children and adults with intellectual disabilities or autism spectrum disorders.
